1861 Census shows living in 13 Union Street, Manchester, George and Charlotte Grantham lived at 5 Union St . Ann Farrell married George junior!

1861 census also shows Ann had siblings shown in tree. Thomas was employed as a carter; Ann aged 16 as a cotton weaver. Son Charles aged 10 was employed as glass (apprentice).

1851 census shows a Thomas born Manchester, and Jane Farrell, born Newcastle living in Newcastle. Similar children ages and names, but more of them.

1841 census shows a Thomas and Jane Farrell with child Ann and Mary Possible that these children died and later child was also named Ann. Else it's the wrong record. Needs further checking. IGI shows Mary christening 28/1/1838 at Cathedral Manchester. Thomas and Jane as parents. Also deaths for some Marys prior to 1845 (Ann's dob)

1871 census shows wife Jane at same address, 13 Union St, but as widowed, so Thomas dod before 1871. He was alive as at dom daughter Ann viz 24/5/1863

M/C shows "of full age" for both bride and groom. Groom's occupation not clear but looks like "sizer". Father of the groom was James Farrell, also a sizer. Father of the bride was John Rhodes, a hatter. Address of the groom is shown unclearly as ? Franchise? Place Green Hey. Bride's address was 23 Little David Street. The ceremony took place in the Collegiate Parish Church, Parish of Manchester.

Bride made her mark. Age at DoM suggests birth dates earlier than previously thought. Was Abt 1817 and 1818 for Groom and Bride respectively.

1871 census shows Jane as widowed. Son George and duaghter Millicent stiil at home plus many boarders. NB address is still 13 Union St but place of birth is given as Newcastle. On 1861 census it was shown as Manchester.
