My Griffin-Smith family research was done by my cousin and a book on our family is located in the Lincoln County library in Brookhaven, Mississippi. The Childress-Bennett side of my family is still in research. My grandfather Jesse James Childress was a twin. His brother was named Wesley Frank. Jesse James and Frank were named after the bank robbers Frank and Jesse James. Jesse James was red headed and nicknamed "Red". Frank was black headed and nicknamed "Black". Black accidently shot himself.
