OK, so now you've gotten to my long awaited HomePage. Now if you came here expecting to see something about Emergency Medicine or to listen to a cut from my latest favorite Be-Bop Jazz number ..... or if you expected to see discussion about living people, then you may be disappointed. This page has a lot more to do with dead ancestors than the living... so if that makes you uncomfortable or bored, then you should leave now.
On the other hand I would appreciate any interested visitors to offer additions or corrections to the reports at the bottom of this page. The interneTree below is very slow and may not be accessible on all computers. Also remember that if you're expecting to see yourself in these reports and you are not yet there.... that I am just learning how to do this web page stuff, so give me a break and pass along constructive advice.

Next I'm placing my most difficult genealogical stumbling block or "dead-end" (pardon the pun) family line - found immediately below. I'd appreciate anyone wishing to help me with this family.

Philip B. GRIFFITH, born about 1779, married Elizabeth CROZIER, (born between 1784 & 1787). They were probably born in Maryland or Pennsylvania. They married 1803 @ Steubenville, Ohio, then lived at or near Chillicothe, Wooster & Loudenville, Ohio until moving to Sullivan Co, Indiana in the early 1850s. He died in 1853-55 & she died between 1860-1870, probably near Sullivan, IN. They had children: David K. 1810, John, Thomas 1814, William 1816, Mary J. 1820 & Milton 1828, all born in Ohio. I believe David K. Griffith moved to the Chicago-Woodstock, IL area, William & Mary moved to Sullivan, IN and Milton moved to California. Mary married James Martin. We think Philip may have been the son of David Griffith who died about 1788 at Frederick Co, Maryland, but we cannot prove the son, Philip that he had is the same Philip, I (Allan Griffith) descends from.

Thanks to all who visit - especially to those who contribute.
