Ibid. Resided in Bucks County, Pennsylvania until 1790 when he moved
to Berkeley County, Virginia, and from thence to Monongalia County,
Virginia in 1794. Solider enlisted in the Revolutionary War in the
spring of 1776 and served six months in the militia under Captain
Ludwick and General Washington, taking part in the battles of Brand-
ywine and Monmouth. He also claimed twelve months service as a
teamster. Soldier applied for pension in Monongalia County, which was
granted in 1834. His claim was supported by Samuel Hanway.
