bullet Lillian Eunice Clauson was born on 4 Aug 1905 in Stockholm Twp, Crawford Co, Iowa. Lilly was born on the Clauson farm which is located on the southwest quarter of Stockholm section 29. She died on 17 Feb 1997 in Eventide, Denison, Iowa. She was buried on 20 Feb 1997 in Kiron Cemetery, Kiron, Iowa. The memorial service for Lillian E. Stehlik was held at 1:30 pm on Thursday February 20, 1997 at the First Baptist Church in Kiron, Iowa with Rev. Larry Odie in charge of the service. The following is taken from the service handout.
"Lillian E. Stehlik, daughter of Alfred and Lottie Anderson Clauson was born in Stockholm Township, Crawford county on 4 August 1905. At an early age she accepted Christ as her Savior and was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Kiron on 4 April 1920. She graduated from Denison Normal Training School in 1924 and targht school for four years in Stockholm and Goodrich townships.
On 12 June 1928, Lillian was united in marriage to Joseph Stehlik at the Baptist parsonage in Denison, Iowa. They made their home on a farm near Vail. To their union were born two sons, Francis and Wesley.
Joseph died 16 February 1978 and Lillian continued to live on the farm. On 5 December 1989 Lillian entered Eventide and it was there her death occurred Monday evening, 17 February 1997. At the time of her death she had attained the age of 91 years, 6 months and 13 days.
Lillian enjoyed fishing and piano playing. In her younger days she sang in the church choir. She was a member of Ladies Aid and the Friendly Bible Class. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Edith O'Banion, Ruth Stehlik, Ethel Clauson, and Myrtle Waldemar. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her sons, Francis and his wife, Olive of Ankeny, Iowa; Wesley of Vail, Iowa; three granddaughters Michelle Powers of ANkeny, Iowa, Sharon Siddon of Dallas, Texas, Lori Malone of Eagle Grove, Iowa; six great grand children, nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends."
Interment was at the Kiron Cemetery, Kiron, Iowa. Casket Bearers were Larry Waldemar, Brad Waldemar, Jim Waldemar, Dennis Gustafson, John Dieter, Ted Hawley. Wilma Anderson was the organist and Wayne and Ruby Lindskoog offered vocal music. Parents: Alfred Johan Clauson and Lottie Anderson.

She was married to Joseph Stehlik on 12 Jun 1928 in Denison, Crawford Co, Iowa. Children were: Francis Joseph Stehlik, Wesley Stehlik.
