Methodist Cemetery. He married (1) Catherina Augusta Lasseter on February 19, 1885 in Decatur Co, Ga.. He married (2) Catherine Augusta LASSETER on February 19, 1885 in Attapulgus, Decatur County, Georgia, daughter of Emery LASSETER, Jr. and Elizabeth B. DONALSON.

1. "Mitchie", as he was known, was an extremely heavy man and was known for wearing a white linen suit every day.
2. We have been told that at one time in his life, Mitchie went on a 'walk about' to South Florida and his youngest brother, Edgar Troup Hines, looked after his family and saw that all needs were taken care of until Mitchie returned.
3. He was seriously injured in an automobile accident and later died from his injuries.
4. He loved his brother, Troup, dearly and greatly mourned him at the time of Troup's death in 1933.
