Joe Keith Parrish (son of Horace Otis Parrish and Susana Wesley Chance) was born April 05, 1927 in Fort Meade, Polk County, Florida, and died November 14, 2000 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon. He married Laurel Marie Baldwin on July 29, 1950 in Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon.

Notes for Joe Keith Parrish:
A service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2000, in Willamette National Cemetery for Joe K. Parrish, who died Nov. 14 of bone cancer at age 73. Mr. Parrish was born April 5, 1927, in Fort Meade, Fla. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. Later, he served in the Navy during the Korean War. In the mid-50s, he moved to Texas and worked for the U.S. border patrol for one year before returning to Portland. He was a deputy sheriff for the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office for 28 years until retiring in 1985. In 1950, he married Laurel Marie Baldwin.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Keith W. and Michael G.; daughter, Janet M. Mar; brother, Wesley; and two grandchildren.
The family suggests remembrances to the Oregon Columbia River Chapter of the First Marine Division Association, c/o Gordon Morgan, 8837 N.E. Schuyler St., Portland, OR 97220. Arrangements are by Mt. Scott Funeral Home.
