Oldest of l0 children. Truck farmer who later worked for the agriculture department as an inspector of the sweet potato fields. Fell into the fireplace as a toddler, loosing sight in one eye. Father of: Ewell, Edna, Blanche, died in infancy, Howard, Faye, and Margaret JO. He owned the farm next door to his father - was a very successful farmer - hardworker.

Died with heart disease at 58.
