Thomas Paschall (son of William Paschall and Joanna Collins) was born 03 Oct 1624 in Bristol, England, and died 1718 in Philadelphia, Penn.. He married Margaret Jenkins.
Notes for Thomas Paschall:
Born in England; ancestors were French Huguenots who left France because of religious persecution; went to England and thence to Penn.
Later his descendants moved to Virginia to Maryland to North Carolina to Tennessee/Kentucky and some to Texas.
Thomas was baptized in England at St. Mary, Red Cliff Church.
Thomas and his second wife and children came with William Penn's Quakers circa 1682. Reference to Thomas may be found in Narratives of Early Pennsylvania, West New Jersey and Delaware, 1630=1707 (New York: Scribner, 1912). p. 251. The reference is to a letter that Thomas Paschall wrote to a friend in England. He said, "provisions are somewhat hard to come by in some places...when we came into Delawarebay we saw an infinite number of small fish in sholes also large fish leaping in the water." He also mentioned "great stocks of cattle," Gardnes with all sorts of herbs, and some more than in England, and very good butter and cheese, as most in England."
