11. Thomas Pass was
born between 1784 and 1786 in Caswell Co., NC. He died after 1860 in Hall Co.,
GA. He was buried in Hall Co., GA, New Bridge Bapt., (No tombstone). Thomas
and Sara ELLIOTT PASS...marriage recorded in Person County, North
Carolina in 1813.. came to Hall County,overland by oxcart and wagons carrying
all possessions , before the 1830 census,from North Carolina down through western
South Carolina and on to Ha ll County.
Both he and she were born in North Carolina (1850 census), had lived in
Tennessee for three to four years (1826 to 1829 or 30). Two of their children
being born in Tennessee. Thomas and Sara settled in Whelchels District of Hall
County, near John WHELCHEL in the vicinity of New Bridge Baptist Church. Thomas
and Sara were both living in 1860. They were buried (tradition) on the Indian
Mound nearby-the top of it being used for the WHELCHEL Family Cemetery. Their
graves moved to New Bridge Baptist Church in 1957 by Army Engineers during the
construction of Lake Lanier. No tombstones found.

In his declaration for a pension for service in the Revolutionary War, Holloway
PASS states that "the old family record which contains his age is in the
possession of his younger brother, Thomas PASS of Georgia"... (This declaration
was made 11 Jan 1836 in Caswell County, North Carolina). Holloway also stated
that his father served six months in the Revolutionary War.
1820 census, Thomas was living in White County, TN near his nephew, James
Holloway Pass. He was married to Sarah "Sally" Elliott on 7 Apr 1813
in NC, Person Co.. Sarah "Sally" Elliott
was born in 1793 in NC. She died after 1860. She was buried in Hall Co., GA,
New Bridge Bapt., (No tombstone). Thomas Pass and Sarah "Sally" Elliott
