SEVENTH GENERATION

2146. Charles Keith HAMILTON (photo) was born on 17 Aug 1951 in Triplett, Rowan Co., Kentucky. Keith was the oldest ot Tad's children and was the most affected by the
divorce. He went to live with Amelia and Tad after the divorce, spent some
time with his aunt Ruby, Anna & Marie. He stayed for a short time with Donald
Gene Gulley. Ultimately he returned home to live with his mother. Keith was
always tinkering with electric motors, lawnmowers, cars etc. He was always
getting hurt, nearly cutting his hand off with a saw blade attached to a motor.
This fortold his future. Keith had to have braces on his legs as a child.
While working as a heavy equipment mechanic, Keith hit his knee. Later cancer
was discovered there and it had to be amputated. Keith strapped on an
artificial leg and went back to work. One night after putting in a 16 hour day
a neighbor came to him and asked for help with a broken down truck of logs.
This truck fell on Keith severing his spinal cord. Keith is now paralysed from
waist down and confined to a wheel chair. Undaunted, Keith still works as a
deisel mechanic out of his shop on Old Trace, in Lewis County. He is able to
drive. Keith is very intelligent, enjoying books, and loves to debate history and current events.

He was married to Florence Kay GLOVER (daughter of Earl GLOVER and Faye GLOVER) on 6 Jan 1973 in Flat Fork, Carter County, Walnut Grove. Charles Keith HAMILTON and Florence Kay GLOVER had the following children:

2396 ii. Rebecca Sue HAMILTON (photo) was born on 11 Aug 1981 in Morehead, Rowan Co., Kentucky. Becky is Charlie's twin. Becky is known for her sweet personality and as a hard worker.
Becky is an excellent student graduating from West Carter County Highschool, Olive Hill, Carter County, KY as one of it's valedictorian's in 1999. Becky plans to attend Bellarmine University in Louisvile Ky where she was awarded a full scholarship from ROTC. She will begin the study of nursing in the Fall of 1999

2397 iii. Charles Keith HAMILTON Jr. (photo) was born on 11 Aug 1981 in Morehead, Rowan Co., Kentucky. Charlie is Rebecca's twin. He benefitted from hanging around his dad while he worked on deisel engines etc. in his workshop. Charlie is now an excellent mechanic and machinist himself. While attending highschool at West Carter he competed statewide in welding competitions and won gold medals. Charlie graduated from West Carter County Highschool, Olive Hill, Ky in May 1999. Charlie enjoys deer hunting. He is a responsible young man.
