Weaver BROWN.160. Murray Orville "Buddie" BROWN(12) was born on 12 Mar 1853 in Wayne Co. Ill.. He died on 18 Aug 1917 in Guthrie Co. IA. Buddy Brown was a member of the First M.E. Church of Guthrie Center, Iowa, the Masonic Lodge, and the Woodman of America of Casey, Iowa. He was born in Wayne co, Illinois and died of acute appendicitis (undoubtedly peritonitis). He moved with his mother to Morrisburg, Iowa when only a child, his father having died in Gentry Co. Missouri. He was sheriff of Guthrie County, Iowa for 7 years. During one of his election campaigns he was accused of some improprieties for which he later recieived an appology.
He was married to Lucy PATTERSON (daughter of
John PATTERSON and Sophronia THORLA) on 1 Sep 1872 in
Guthrie Co. IA. Lucy PATTERSON was born on 11 Sep
1853 in Muskingham Co. OH. She died on 6 Feb 1941 in Guthrie Co. IA. Murray
Orville "Buddie" BROWN and Lucy PATTERSON had the following children:
