was a very hard worker. He came up during the years when one had to walk for
miles before even putting in a hard days work. Estill help build the Grahn school
house. He told of using wheelbarrows to haul concrete to pour into the footers.
In the evening, He would shoulder a 50 pound sack of flour and walk 10 to 15
miles home. Estill also worked on building the railroad and on the county roads.
Estill worked for a short time in Westinghouse in Mansfield, Ohio. He later
returned home to his family to raise tobacco and crops on his farm. Estill was

He met many friends and was loved by all who knew him. Just days before his

Estill never ceased being active even when he went to the hospital after suffering
a fatal heart attack. After various tests, he told his daugther that he was
ready to get out and go fox hunting. He joked and teased his great-grandchildren.

lived through a remarkable time in our nation's history. He lived through World

machines and eventually land on the moon. Estill says he could remember seeing
