106. John Henry KNIPP ^(1)(75) was born on 3 Nov 1861 in Carter Co., Kentucky. He died on 14 Jun 1940 in Lawrence, Co. Ohio.⁽¹⁹⁾ John was a farmer, timberman, and was an accomplished carpenter and a craftsman. He purchased a wooded farm near Grahn, Kentucky and worked the timber to raise his family. He first built a cabin about fourty feet long. Later he built a two-story home. They moved to Lawrence Co. Ohio and spent the rest of their life there. They dated 9 years before they married. Jonn was a handsome man turning grey in his thirties. He also wore a little grey mustache. He died of a suddend heart attack. Michael Rogers had death date of 1940.

He was married to Amanda Elizabeth COX (daughter of Squire COX and Phebe WALLACE) on 29 Dec 1887 in Carter Co. Kentucky.⁽¹⁹⁾ Amanda Elizabeth COX⁽¹⁾ was born in Jun 1866 in Carter Co., Kentucky. She died on 15 Nov 1934. She was buried in , Lawrence Co., Ohio. Amanda would visit, sit up with, and cook for the sick. If there was a death in the neighborhood, she would do all she could to help. She was a nice looking woman, standing about five feet tall, overweight and very old fashioned. She died of heart dropsy. John Henry KNIPP and Amanda Elizabeth COX had the following children:
