William TROTTS (son of John TRUTZ and Mary)²⁴³ was born 17 Apr 1848 in Tabor, Bohemia²⁴³, and died 26 Aug 1926 in Felton, CA, USA²⁴⁴. He married Mary Catherine BERNSTEIN on 22 Nov 1887 in San Francisco, CA, USA²⁴⁴, daughter of George BERNSTEIN and Mary Jane Elizabeth HAHN.

Originally named "Trutz" but changed to TROTTS when he came to
the USA.

Served in the U.S. Cavalry around 1882 under General Miles. Fighting the "indians". I have his old Cavalry coat with Sergeant's stripes. Have photos of him in uniform and a wedding photo in old Trotts family album.
