Notes for Charles Reginald Harris:
Was an extremely cold night in Nakina Yard on Feb. 06/74. Chuck and his crew were on duty, he was in the van at the east end of the yard waiting to see if thay could get enough air through the train to release the brakes and allow them to depart. The trip ended up being cancelled due to the cold, Chuck cut across the snow to the Twin Lake Road where he was picked up. He returned to the station, booked out and went home. He had a massive heart attack and died within twenty minutes of arriving home. I remember him eating tumbs like they were popcorn, and after talking with Mom she said he had signs & symptoms of chest pain in the past (not to mention family history) IE:
sore arm , indigestion, shortness of breath.
