| I'm mainly searching the Hartnett Family that began with the union of Timothy John Hartnett and Katherine H. O'Sullivan. They met here in Buffalo, married 19 Oct 1884, and had the following children: Mary (Samuel Knapp), John (Johanna Callahan & Emma O'Halloran), Patrick (Anna Miller-Hayes), my grandfather: Timothy (Margaret O'Connor), Helen (Frank Burns), and Kathryn (William Desing). My great-grandfather, Timothy J. Hartnett emigrated to the U.S. from Ireland with four other brothers and sisters, but at different times in the 1870s. I believe his parents and a sister Catherine (Buckley) stayed in Ireland; they were from either Co Kerry or Cork. Those emigrating were: Mary (Daniel Donohue), John (Catherine Reidy), Michael (Barbara Boll), and Margaret (Patrick Fitzgerald). Their parents, my g-g-grandparents, were: John (Harnett) Hartnett and Helen (Ellen Cournane) Courtney. My grandfather Timothy C., married Margaret O'Connor and they had 6 children: Mary (Allen McBurney), my father Timothy W. (Dorothy [Fuchs] Fox), Margorie (Frank Meyer), Gertrude (William Metzger), Joseph (Marion Bork), and Nelson (Vera Tokar & Marie Pietrangelo). I also have great interest in proving/disproving a relationship tie to all other Buffalo Hartnetts, which right now seems to have at least 3 distinct clans. Once I get ties back to Ireland and their birthplace, I hope to be able to confirm this. Anyone who may have ties with any of the above named surnames or indivduals, please contact me by email.
