This page has been created from two books, The Genealogy of the Family of John Lawrence of Wisset, In Suffolk, England, dated 1857 and a book on the Kirk family dated 1904. I also have a book on the Edie's. The Edie's and Shane's originate from Pawnee City, Nebraska. I also have been given research on the Hedenberg family from my father-in-law, Raymond Earle Hedenberg that is extensive, going back to Sweden. There is a broad range of names to be found in this genealogy. At this writing I have added over 3000 families to my gedcom file. I cannot possibly add all the names here but will put some of the largest. The Lawrence book will be going to the Kenneth Spencer Research Library in Lawrence, Kansas, located on the Kansas University campus.
This has been a labor of love. I have been fortunate and have not had to travel far to get all my information, it was mostly handed to me. I do belong to the DAR and their website has been very helpful as have all the states. We have an assortment of a lot of countries, American Indian, Irish, Scottish, English, German, French, Swedish. Both our families come from the Prairie and are of hardy stock. I can only hope that you might find some helpful information here if you are looking at the website.
