  Notes for ENOCH MOORE:
Lived in Prairie Township Franklin County Arkansas as of 1880 census. This census showed Enoch's parents from Alabama and Susan's father from either North or South Carolina (couldn't tell which) and her mother was from Tennessee.

A headstone with the name Mary F. Moore born Feb. 9, 1901 died April 4, 1902 is in same cemetary. Related?

from the Federal Archieves: Civil War (War of Rebellion) Enoch Moore b March 5, 1845, Shelby Co. AL, enlisted 5 Dec. 1863, General Steele's Division, Warners Cr., 4th Arkansas Calvary, served as Telegraph Line Repairman, family tradition says horse shot from underneath him, disabled for life when right ankle crushed and "white ankle" developed. Discharged 13 June 1865, pension application #761092. Enoch, at age 45, resident of Donald, Franklin Co, AK, filed 10 Jan 1891. Stated lived AK 30 years following discharged moved to Wise Co. Texas for 20 years. Witnessed: James M. James &J.M. Mitchum, paper of 11 Feb 1905. Children living in May 1898: William, Manda, Clementine, James Alexander, Isacc A, John Robert, Marion Lee and Oscar E., all children listed living or dead paper of April 1915: Dept. of Interior, Bureau of Pensions, with birthdates. State of birth from 1880 AK census.

  Notes for SUSAN CAROLINE HINES:
In 1925, at the age of 75 and a resident of Burkburnett Texas, Susan signed with an x, which along with the statement that she could not read or write on an earlier census, makes clear she could not even sign her name when she filed for Widows Pension on February 27, 1925.
