10. CALVIN B⁵ POUNCEY (JOHN B.⁴, SAMUEL³, ROGER², ANTHONY¹) was born Abt. 1814 in , , GA, and died Abt. 1865. He married MARY BARRETT Abt. 1852. She was born 1835, and died Aft. 1910.

Notes for CALVIN B POUNCEY:
Most likely C. B. died in the civil war.

The 1860 census of Lowndes County shows C. B. Pouncey with George Pouncey living next door. We have assumed they are brothers. The letter transcribed in the notes for C. B. 's father John B. Pouncey, from George W. Pouncey to O K. Pouncey confirms our theory that C. B. was actually Calvin B. There was another Calvin Pouncey listed in the 1860 Butler County Census records who had just married to a Lucy. I still don't know who the other Calvin Pouncey is and how he is related. Evidently both men joined the Civil War and their records seem to be combined, sometimes listing C B and sometimes Calvin. Both apparently died in the war, since neither one is found after that time in census records. My logic as to why I believe that the Calvin listed as a son of John B in the above mentioned letter is the same as C. B. of Lowndes is this: The letter lists sons of John B. Pouncey, including Calvin and George. The only other George Pouncey found thus far in the family of that age is the George W. Pouncey that authored the letter. C. B. and George B. are living next door on the 1860 Census in Lowndes County. They both took federal land soon after, applying on the same day, for adjoining land in Crenshaw County, Alabama. Those land records list Calvin Pouncey and George Pouncey on the deeds. Both C. B and George B. died in the Civil War.

Notes for MARY BARRETT:
The name Mary Barrett is found as parent on the death certificate of her son Joshua Cook Green. This was confirmed by a phone conversation with Bobbye Burkett of Georgiana who said her name was in a family bible that she had seen.

11. DANIEL N.⁵ POUNCEY (JOHN B.⁴, SAMUEL³, ROGER², ANTHONY¹) was born Abt. 1815. He married NANCY CLEGHORN June 25, 1835 in Montgomery County, AL. She was born Abt. 1816.

12. PETER A.⁵ POUNCEY (SAMUEL JR⁴, SAMUEL³, ROGER², ANTHONY¹) was born August 29, 1824 in Pike County, Alabama, and died December 27, 1906. He married MATILDA J (POUNCEY). She was born December 11, 1830, and died April 02, 1900.

	ii.		WILLIAM POUNCEY, b. December 30, 1857, Perry County, Mississippi.
