Information from Linda Weldon Apr 3, 1997 Joseph Harper born ca 1700 married
Susannah
Malone daughter of Nathaniel Malone and Mary Wynne. In the Bristol Parish
Register, page 26,27 "George, son of Joseph and Susannah Harper, born 24 Dec,
1732. Susannah is not mentioned in her father's will dated Jan 1832. It is
possible she died in childbirth. He also has a possible son Nathaniel.
Nathanaiel has a son Joseph Wells Harper and daughter Rebecca Harper married
Edward Pegram and had a son Nathaniel Harper Pegram 1807-1889.

Joseph Harper, Richard Green (p, 241), 854 acres Prince George County, Virginia, bet. Nottoway River and Birchen Sw., adj. County line, adj. Joseph Harper's upper c. on Nottoway River., 26 March 1739. (ref PB 18)

Joseph Harper, John Walker, 82 acres Prince George County, Virginia, b/s Beaver Pond Car., Butler's now Worsham's (p. 343) in Robert Wynn's line, along Jos. Harper's line, Wm. Jones, John Jones line, to Robert Wynn's (p. 344) 12 January 1746. (ref PB 25)

Joseph Harper bought, 1000 acres in Prince George County, Virginia, b/s of Tommaheton Sw. on N. side of Nottoway River, S. fork of Beaverpond Br., up Burchen Sw., adj. Wm. Jones, Wm. Butler & Lawrence Richardson, W/in bounds is 400 acres gtd. Nathaniel Malone by pat. 23 March 1733/34 (PB 15, P. 183) exclusive of sd 1000 acres, 12 March 1739/40. ( ref C & P IV)

DEED - HARPER, Joseph - Indenture made the 9th day of August, 1768, between Robert Briggs and wife, Ruth Briggs, and Joseph Harper and Thomas Danee (?) of Dinwiddie County, for 565 pounds, conveying 303 acres on South side of Wagua Creek. Witnesses were Hugh Williams, Samuel Briggs, John Harper, and Thomas Briggs. Indenture was acknowledged in Court on October 24, 1768, by Robert Briggs and Ruth, his wife, personally appeared and relinquished her right of dower.

"Joseph Harper married Susannah Malone, daughter of Nathaniel Malone and Mary
Wynne. Susannah is not mentioned in her fathers will dated Jan 1732." But Joseph Harper is mentioned. Other reseachers say her name is Frances Malone, not Susannah.
