Cain, Harper Thompson family history says Sara Ann Barnes, born in Georgia on Dec 23, 18l29 according to Bible Records, but her birthdate is listed as Oct 3, 1829 on her grave marker. Her date of death, according to the bible records was March 8, 1907, while the grave marker lists March 9, 1908. no source for Barnes as her maiden name was given. unconfirmed bible record is from supposed bible of George and Sara Ann Barnes Harper.

The Barnes surname for Sarah Ann is not correct. Kay Bradley of Texas concurs with me. Eliza Harper, child of Sarah Ann Atkison and William George Washington on her death certificate says child of Sarah A F Atkison and George Harper.

Family legends confirm connection to Atkison family.

Kenneth Harrison in Enterprise has proof that Atkison is her correct maiden name. Probate records of Britton T. Adkison list Sarah A F Harper as child.
