Conrad Schauss (son of Johann Adam Schauss and Maria Barbara Baum) was born January 07, 1737/38 in Falkner Swamp, Philadelphia Co, Pa, and died Aft. 1769 in Rowan County, NC. He married Johanna Maria Magdalina Schwint.

Know all men by these presents that I Conroad Shouse of Rowan County in the province of North Carolina for and in consideration of the sum of Thirty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain to me in hand paid by John Mitchell of the county and province aforesaid March out at or before the Execution of these presents receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have bargained sold and delivered and by these presents do bargain sell and deliver unto the said John Mitchell all my right and title to the improvement whereon I the said Shouse now live together with all houses, orchards, gardens meadows, inclosures improvements woods, Trees, Waters, water courses profits commonodities Advantages, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging to have and to hold the said herby bargained premises unto the said John Mitchell his heirs executors administrators and assignees for ever and I the said Conrad Shouse for myself my heirs executors and administrators the said hereby bargained promises unto the said John Mitchell his heirs executors administrators and spouse against all persons shall and will warrant and forever defend by there presents Provide always that if the said Conrad Shouse his Heirs, Executors or assignees do well and truly par or cause to be paid unto the said John Mitchell his heirs executors administrators or assignees the full and just sum of thirty pounds of lawful money of Great Britain on the Eight day of August neat ensuint the Date hereof for died emption of the said herby bargained promises then this present bill of sale and everything herein contained shall be void In Witness whereof I the said Conroad Shouse have hereunto set my hand and seal the Twenty eight day of June and in the year of our Lord One Thousand and seven hundred and Sixty nine.
