Descendants of Abraham VANDAL

These pages trace the Descendants of Abraham VANDAL of West Virginia, the great, great, grandson of Evert Janse WENDELL, who came from the Netherlands to New Amsterdam in 1640. Abraham was a soldier of the American Revolution. Over the years, the descendants of Abraham and Mary (DILLON) VANDAL have changed the spelling of their name to VANDALL, VANDALE, VANDEL, VANDELL, VAN DEL and VANDLE. There are other VANDALs that have French/Canadian origins that are not related to this VANDAL line, as far as we can determine.
