| Researching the family of my parents, John Holtby Hill and Eris Annettee Sands Have lots on my mother's connections through her mother to the Alexanders of VA and WV (Connect to Rawleigh Alxander). But would like any information tracing back Rawleigh's parentage (b. abt. 1736 Northumebrland Co. VA) Have nothing on her father's family: James Wallace Sands of Nashville, TN (b. abt 1880) m. Eulalie Mildred Sands. Looking for his relatives. Also looking into my father's side. Background of Englehard Bartell (b. Bremen Germany abt 1825) m. Mary Alice Southwell (b. US around Feb. 1836)(his maternal grandparents)and John Harlow Hill (b. New York abt 1826) m. Catherine Cuppler (b. abt 1833 Pennsylvania?)(his paternal grandparents.) John Harlow Hill may have been descendants of a Helt or Heldt family from Norway which changed their name to Hill to blend in. Would appreciate any information via e-mail.
