He was married to Lelia Adaline JOHNSON about 1897 in Texas. I have been told
that James Riley Allsup believed Syrilda Jane Hines Allsup was his mother for
the first years of his life. His death certificate does not give his mother's
name. His one living son is now 92 years old and did not answer my letter to
him last fall. I saw him in Dallas in September 1991 for a short time. He did
not remember seeing my husband and me in 1939 when we visited his parents. He
is quite active but was worried about his wife's health. This was written in
1992, Arlitt has since died.
Lelia Adaline JOHNSON was born on 23 Oct 1878 in
Texas. She died on 6 Mar 1966 in Dallas, Dallas, TX. She was buried in Dallas,
Dallas, TX. Date of death given me by Pearl Allsup Haines, by correspondence.
