Marriage Notes for Anna Schumer and John Michael Hirn:
This marriage is hard to understand because there is little known about it. John's grandson Clarence Hirn said that his grand father was divorced but did not know the details or maybe did not tell them. This being his second marriage two years after the death of his wife Katherine, it is assumed that it was a marriage of convenience.

Some stories say that John was not a very nice man and that Anna tried to poison him and his three surviving boys. Little is known about her or what ever happened to her after the supposed divorce. There are no divorce records in the two surrounding counties where John lived to show that their divorce was ever granted.
