This is my family tree. I have not finished but have not done much research lately. If anyone knows anything about us and does not seem to be here, please drop me a line.
I would like to know more about the family on my Dad's side, there are many cousins that I don't know anything about other than their names but not their spouses and children. Hopefully some of them have a computer and are reading this.
My sister Trijn and two brothers, John and Mans are having a 50th wedding anniversary on the 4th of May 2001.
God has richly blessed them with children and grandchildren.
Trijn, John and Mans are the oldest of the family, all three married on the same day and all three passed away at the same age, 84. Dirk also passed away in the same year as Trijn, 2009.
Jean's husband, Solomon Steckly passed away as well as Rudy Vanderveen my late sister, Marcia's husband. The years are ticking by, faster and faster it seems.
It is now 2012 and a lot has happened since then. First brother Dirk passed away in 2009 then sister Trijn also in 2009. Brother John passed away in 2010 and brother Mans in 2011.
In August 2011 we had another Wassing Family reunion and celebrated the fact that we were 60 years in Canada. From the 3 couples that got married 60 years before only Mans and Anna were still together. Mans was ill at the time of the reunion and they could not attend. It was a wonderful weekend but we missed the ones that passed away and few more that could not come. As long as I am able I will keep on updating the site.
