Henry Grimshaw Holland was the sixth child of Mary Catherine Holland. Henry and his brother, William moved from Macon County, North Carolina sometime between 1900 and 1910, to Baker City, Oregon. Henry later moved to Toledo, Washington.
Henry married Anie Myrtle Brown in Baker City, Oregon on 28 Feb 1912. They had eleven children; seven girls and four boys. Melvin Arnold Holland was the 10th of those 11 children. Melvin was my father. I am Richard Dale Holland.

Mary Catherine Holland was the third of thirteen children of Anthony Montgomery Holland and Elizabeth Corbin.

Anthony Montgomery Holland was the son of James Holland and Phoebe Peek.

I am just starting work on my family research to try and find Henry's father's name and go from there. The data I have doesn't show any father information for any of the nine children that Mary Catherine had. It appears the family ancestory centers around the Macon County, North Carolina area for more than 100 years.

Anybody that might have some more information on my ancestors should contact me via email at "8ballman@netscape.net" or call me at 425-277-4005.
