He married (1) Lydia Adella Vollman on 18 Oct 1900 in Three Oaks, MI, daughter of Johann Vollman and Maria Wegner. He married (2) Emma Klute.

Notes for Carl John Niendorf:
He had spent the previous two weeks in LaPorte, IN with relatives before his death. The funeral was held at the St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church with the Rev A.J. Havermehl officiating. The funeral was handled through the H.B. Connelly Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Robert and Carl Frederick Neindorf Jr. and Carl and William Young and Alfed and Walter Klute. The obituary also went on to tell that he had come to the United States when he was 6 years old.
