Excerpt from obituary for Mrs. Robert T. Young
Mrs. Robert T. Young, an old resident of the county, died Sunday evening about 11 o'clock at her home, 312 Pine street. from serious apoplexy, having been confined to her bed but three days.
She was born October 22, 1837, in Miami County, IN. She was married in Coolspring township. Laporte County in 1856. Her husband died February 22 this year. She leaves five children as follows: Nelson and William Young of Michigan City, George and Charles Young of LaPorte, Mrs. Anna Burns of Michigan City.
The funeral was held Tuesday at 10 am from the M E church, this city Rev. Kindig officiating.
