| Researching Hook Family from the Sussex and Kent Counties. Mainly from Rotherfield. Frant. Mayfield. Brenchley. Lamberhurst. Also Wheeler from Brenchley and Horsmonden.Emigrated to Canada after 1884 from Surrey Docks.London. Eli and Ellen (Hook) Wheeler with ten Children. Some believed to have drowned in a boating accident. Also Pearce Family -Henry or Thomas from Southwark - Deptford South London. Would be in the Timber Business had premises by the Deptford Canal - Blackhorse Bridge. Any information would be most helpful. The Hook Family goes back to about 1670 in Rotherfield ,Sussex, then onto Mayfield, Frant, and shows 1801 marriage at Brenchley to Elizebeth Underdown. |
