I am just starting to piece together our family tree. My father changed his last name to that of his maternal grandmother, Emily Howland, nee Hotchkiss, and grandfather Daniel Henry Howland. Emily's daughter, Helen Mary Howland, is still with us at the age of 103! My mother was Anne Isabel Howland, nee Tierney, daughter of Thomas W. and Mary Theresa Tierney, nee Dunn, all of New York.
