Notes for ELLYE DIXIE ALVEY: Dixie was a charter member of ABWA, American Business Women's Assn. and served as corresponding secretary and on a number of commitees. She was a former member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and as president of Alpha Chi Chapter as well as the treasurer of the organization. She was secretary in the Women's Division of the Civil Defense office for three years during WW II, working in direct contact with Camp Breckinridge Service Clubs. Later she received a citation from the Office of Price Administration for her volunteer work. She was an active member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church and a member of the Regina Nursing Home Guild. |
