of Winthrop Hopson. During the same year he was married to Miss Sallie A Bryant of Pike County, MO and settled on a farm of 300 acres near Prices' Branch in Montogomery County.
NAME: He and his devoted wife were not unmindful of their religious obligations. There being no public building in their neighborhood, their house was opened to the proclamation of the Gospel and ere 12 months had passed they enjoyed the happy
consolations of seeing many of their neighbors become obedient to faith and a church organied in their home which grew in numbers and zeal, resulting in the erection of what is known today as The church of Christ at Price's Branch.
NAME: This congregation has stood without disruption to the present time and is a living monument to the memory of Caleb L Summers and his devoted wife to whom nine children were born, all of whom 5 girls and 4 boys, followed the faith of their
father and mother, eight of whom are still living on this side of the river which only separates the family of God, in Heaven and on Earth.
NAME: Brethern, there is, there can be no heavenly place in this benighted world, where the light of the knowledge of the glory of God, in the person of Jesus Christ, has not shined upon and into the glory of God hearts and out the lives of
men. In the example of Bro. Summers, we see the truth of the maxim exemplified that "Great ends are often accomplished through small means."
