I am still currently gathering information about my family lineage. My parents are James Henry Jackson Jr. son of James Henry Jackson sr. and Ethel (Marsh) Jackson. Their parents were James Jerry Jackson + (?)-- (?)+(?) (Marsh,O'Doud,Sarchet connections). My mother is Lana Sue Bliss daughter of George Francis Bliss son of Carl Bliss and Nellie Mae (Hammond) Bliss + Opal Faye (Gould) Bliss daughter of Raymond Gould + (mothers maiden name?) The family history is vast, the names on my fathers side surnames are: Jackson,Marsh,O'Doud,Sarchet,Bichard,Scott..etc...I hardly know anything about this side of the family but am working on it. my mothers side surnames are:
Bliss,Hammond,Weir,Upton,Gould, etc. I have a complete lineage of the Hammond family, some of the bliss family dating back to Thomas Weir of Ireland, thanks to the research of a family member. I am a 14th generation Weir.I was born in Cambridge, OH..and come from a long line of Irish immigrants and immigrants from the Isle of Guersey of the channel isles which mostly settled in Maryland and Southeastern Ohio. I'm hoping to get a tree started so I can keep the historical information going with my generation and the next. It seems as though as the lineage progresses downward a lot of information is lost, or forgotten, or not cared to be known. If anyone needs any information about the Hammond/Bliss family of Ohio, I know that I can help you. If anyone has any information about the Jackson/Marsh/O'Doud/Sarchet family, and how Ethel (Marsh) Jackson is related to the O'Doud/Sarchet families (I believe through her mother who (?) was an O'Doud came from the lineage of Sadie O'Doud Sarchet or something along those lines, could you please let me know? thanks!
