William Jeremiah was born Abt. 1804 in Llangadog. Carmarthenshire^{1235, 1236}, and died date unknown. He married Elizabeth Jones on 12 Feb 1825 in Llangyfelach Parish Church, Glamorgan, UK.

The Petty Assize records (originals in the Llangyfelach Parish Minute Book 1845-53 at the County Archives, Swansea] show that he was granted a licence for the Eagle House, Tirdeynau on 5 September 1845. This licence was renewed annually for as long as the book was kept.

In the 1841 census William is described as a Joiner/Publican, and in the 1851 census as a Carpenter/Victualler.
