Rachel Jones (b. Abt. 1792, d. 22 Apr 1875)

Rachel Jones was born Abt. 1792 in Trevethin Mon.¹³⁹⁶, and died 22 Apr 1875 in Pontypool, Mon.¹³⁹⁷. She married (1) Unknown Jones. She married (2) Jacob Jeremiah on 14 Nov 1835 in Trevethin¹³⁹⁸.

Notes for Rachel Jones:
Rachel "late of Pontypool" died in 1875 leaving her daughter Martha Jones, spinster, sole executrix and Universal Legatee (Estate valued at Ł365.0s.8d.). However, it seems that Martha did not get round to getting Probate, since this was granted in the form of Administration in 1884 to Henrietta Davies who was sole Executrix to Martha, who had evidently died by then.

This was Rachel's first marriage, from which the children were generated. She features in the Jeremiah annals as the wife of Jacob Jeremiah, whom she must have married after her Jones husband's demise.
