Per Billy Ray Jones' conversation with Giles McGregor: She always travelled with a Vic Trolla and played the song "Under the Double Eagles" She said she was happiest when she rocking babies. She was a cantancorus woman who done whatever she wanted to do no matter what anybody else thought. After she left Sebron she moved to Hattisburg, Ms. and opened a Bed and Breakfast. She was always looking for trouble according to Giles Her Grandson and no one could get along with her for very long. She died of natural causes in Grandbay Alabama. She had been staying in a nursing fac. but moved in with her daughter Mary Etta Schell right before she died. She used to mix up this sav that was made from sweet potato vines and other ingredients it was taught to her by a lady they called Aunt Bine it could cure skin cancer. My father told me that there was a man in Westlake that had skin cancer that had just about eat it off his nose but that Sallie mixed up this sav and put it on the mans nose and within a short while pealed the cancer from his face and his nose healed up. Giles told me that the Indians had taught Aunt Bine to make it and that Sallie tried to get it patented but nothing had come from it. He said they mainly used it on horses. He said he thought that Aunt Bine was a Jones. Parents: James M. JONES and Mary BRINSON.

Per conversation between Billy Jones and Nell McGregor Martin, January 2001: She (Sallie) left Sebron with all the kids while he was out plowing the field. He came home her and all the kids were gone. She went to Hattisburg, Mississippi and opened a bed and Breakfast. She shipped off Maud and Lena to nursing school and put the other kids to work doing various jobs.

Willie Emile (Bill) JONES Sr. was born on 3 Feb 1888 in Lake Charles, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. He died on 10 Oct 1959 in Moss Bluff, Louisiana. He was buried on 12 Oct 1959 in Moss Bluff, Louisiana (Richie Cementary). Died of liver cancer which he was sick with for 18 months. Once in his
younger days with the help of a Mr. Holcombe (whom later became Dr.
Holcombe) climbed under a storage building which was used to store whiskey
in and drilled holes thru the floor into the barrels of whiskey and
emptied them into to jugs and halled them across the river to Moss Bluff.

and had to arrest them and take them to jail.
Willie always kept a bottle of whiskey under
the seat of his car. He noticed it was disappearing so he watched until he
caught the fellow who was stealing his whiskey. He emptied the bottle and
urinated into the bottle and he parked his car outside the bar. He and
several of his friends watched out the window as the fellow reached and
got his bottle and to a big swig and went to spitting and sputtering. They
got the biggest laugh out of it and consequently the fellow quit stealing
