According to Elsie Nodle Hall Clelland, "Henry Nodle Grandpa and Granma Nodle were both born in Germany and when there their name started with a K. but when came to U. S. dropped the K. Grandpa Nodle died at Maquoketa Iowa and as I remember Grandma died out on ranch out from either Penora or Stewart Iowa out where your daddy (Edo Ommen) grew up. I don't know Granpas folks at all never remember hearing my father mention but feel certain papa said his mom and dad came from Germany."
