In the Name of God, Amen: I, Thomas Butler, of Wayne County and State of Ohio, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound and perfect mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in the manner and form following, viz:
FIRST: I give and bequeath to my eldest daughter Elizabeth Horton, One Dollar, to my second daughter Sarah Bird and to my third daughter, Mary Price, One Dollar.
SECONDLY: Give and bequeath all the balance or residue of my estate, both real and personal to Jonathan Butler, Elijah Butler, Thomas Butler, Drusella Morgan, Rachel Beaty and Rebecca Casey to be equally divided amongst them, except Elijah Butler who is to receive Two Hundred Dollars less than either of my other six last named children.
THIRDLY: I will and order that my Negro man Jack, be permitted by my executor to move into the State of Ohio and remain there until he receives his freedom.
LASTLY: I will and order that all my land may be sold or divided by Jonathan Butler and Peter Casey in the most advantageous way they may think best, whom I appoint Executors to this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
