36. Mordica Ale HATFIELD (1) was born on 6 Oct 1817 in Wayne Co, Ky. He died on 14 Sep 1869 in Green Co, Indiana. He was buried on 14 Sep 1869 in Flynn Cemetery, Owensburg, IN, 4 miles north of Owensburg. The Flynn Cemetery is ocated about four miles north of Owensburg, Indiana and about two miles south of Cincinnati, Indiana and close to the farm on which Mordica and Milly lived. They died less than four years apart and both are buried in the Flynn Cemetery. They have a good headstone with legible inscriptions which read: Mordica Hatfield, died 9/14/1869, age 51 years, 11 mos, 8 days. Millie (Richardson) Hatfield born 5/5/1819, died 4/3/1873. Mordica Ale Hatfield, called Ale, youngest son of Ale Hatfield and Elizabeth Young Hatfield, was born in Campbell Co., Tennessee, October 6, 1817 and died in Greene County, Indiana September 14, 1869. He was an ordained Baptist minister and was noted for his philosphy in preaching. He could not read or write but he memorized scripture from hearing it read to him. He went to Indiana from Tennessee along with his parents and thier family in 1831 at the age of 14 years. Just four years later at the age of eighteen he was married to Milly Richardson in Monroe County, Indiana, November 26, 1835. Milly was sixteen at the time of their marriage. After their marriage they lived on a farm near Cincinnatti, Green County, Indiana where he farmed and where they raised their family of fourteen children, four boys, and ten girls. THere were three sets of twins included in the fourteen children. All fourteen children lived to be married and all were living after their parents were deceased. The youngest one to die was Sally Ann, twin of Cynthia Jane, and she died August 5, 1879 in the State of Texas. The last one of the children to die was Amanda, twin of Elizabeth, and she died in Greene County, Indiana June 27, 1943 at the age of 88 years.

Mordica Ale Hatfield died of Typhoid Fever. He had red (auburn) kinky hair which he tried to grease down. He was a Primitive Baptist Minister for 25 years as well as a farmer. He and his wife Millie raised all 14 of their children. Mordica was medium short, muscular and was gentle with his wife and children. Although he was a minister for 25 years, he could not read or write. He was noted for his philosophy, preaching and memorization of great portions of scripture.
He was married to Millie RICHARDSON on 26 Nov 1835 in Green Co, Indiana. The two Spinks were brother and sister that married into the Hatfield family and the two Longs were cousins.

37. Millie RICHARDSON(1) was born on 5 May 1819 in Cambell Co., Tn. She died on 8 Apr 1873 in Green Co, Indiana. She was buried on 9 Apr 1873 in Flynn Cemetery, Owensburg, IN, 4 miles north of Owensburg. Millie Richardson was born in Campbell Co, Tennessee, May 5, 1819 and died near Cincinnatti, Greene County, Indiana, April 3, 1875. Milly was the daughter of Thomas Richardson and Nancy Ann Quisenberry, both of which were born in the State of Virginia and were married there in Montgomery County, June 7, 1790. Milly was described as being small and having dark eyes and dark haiar. It has been said that she never walked a day in her life due to some physical defect. The only description we have seen regarding Mordica Ale is that he had red curly hair. Milly Richardson was a sister to Mary Richardson who married Mordica's brother, Armstead Apperson Hatfield. Millie's brother, George, had a daughter, Lavina, who married Armstead Apperson Hatfield after the death of his first wife, Mary. Children were:

child ii. Daniel Boone HATFIELD(1) was born on 5 Jan 1838 in Green Co, Indiana. He died on 31 Jan 1910 in Witchita, Kansas.
child iii. Martha (twin to Mary) HATFIELD(1) was born on 18 May 1840 in Green Co, Indiana. She died on 11 Jun 1890 in Green Co, Indiana.
child iv. Mary (twin to Martha) HATFIELD(1) was born on 18 May 1840 in Green Co, Indiana. She died on 28 Dec 1892 in Green Co, Indiana.
child v. Sirelda HATFIELD(1) was born on 3 Sep 1842 in Green Co, Indiana. She died in 1908 in Lawrence County, Indiana.
child vi. Andrew HATFIELD(1) was born on 23 Mar 1844 in Green Co, Indiana. He died in Dorcess County, Indiana.

child viii. Nelson HATFIELD(1) was born on 10 Aug 1848 in Green Co, Indiana. He died on 30 May 1901 in Lawrence County, Indiana.
child ix. Sarah Ann (Twin to Cynthia Jane) HATFIELD(1) was born on 3 Jan 1853 in Green Co, Indiana. She died in Wood County, Texas.
child x. Cynthia Jane (twin to Sarah Ann) HATFIELD(1) was born on 3 Jan 1853 in Green Co, Indiana. She died on 15 Nov 1930 in Lawrence County, Indiana.
child xi. Elizabeth (twin to Amanda) HATFIELD(1) was born on 2 Feb 1855 in Green Co, Indiana. She died on 9 Feb 1929 in Adair County, Ok.
child xii. Amanda (twin to Elizabeth) HATFIELD(1) was born on 2 Feb 1855 in Green Co, Indiana. She died on 27 Jan 1943 in Green Co, Indiana.
child xiii. Christi Ann HATFIELD(1) was born on 17 Feb 1857 in Green Co, Indiana. She died on 9 Mar 1936 in Green Co, Indiana.
child xiv. Rachael Arene HATFIELD(1) was born on 26 Feb 1860 in Green Co, Indiana. She died on 17 May 1923 in Green Co, Indiana.
