484. John THOMAS ⁽⁷¹⁾. It is probable, but not proven, that these are the parents of Edward and Joseph Thomas. He was married to Anne COTTEN. ⁽⁷²⁾ These are the probable, but not proven, parents of Edward, Joseph, and John Thomas.

485. Anne COTTEN was born in Isle of Wight County, VA. Children were:

242 i. Edward THOMAS.
ii. Joseph THOMAS⁽⁷³⁾ was born in Albemarle County, VA. He died in Oglethorpe County, GA. Joseph deeded his plantation in Oglethorpe County, GA to Jesse Martin May 20, 1796, apparently in exchange for the Martins taking care of him in his old age. This is apparently what brought the Martins to Georgia.
