Anna S. Nevius (daughter of James Nevius and Bridget Moylan) was born April 02, 1872 in Greene County, Ohio, and died November 01, 1947 in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio. She married (1) James Esquire Anderson on August 22, 1889, son of James Sr. Anderson and Elizabeth O'Gilvie. She married (2) Peter Miller on Abt. 1912, son of Christian Miller and Fanny Krabill.

Anna raised her nieces, Elizabeth & Genevieve, after their mother, Lizzie, died.
Family legend is that Anna married James Anderson at a young age. He was reportedly very wealthy and much older than she was. Anna inherited a commercial building on High Street in Springfield.
Anna was 75 years of age.

Peter met Anna one winter in Florida and she later moved to Canton, Ohio. They lived at 810 N. Market Street. (which is where the old McKinley high school was later built.) Peter sold his home about 1914. He built a brick house on a farm he owned between Canton and Massillon. (The house is still standing on the corner of Anna Ave (named for Anna) & Barry Street.)
