A. L. (Tony) Keester After graduating in 1914, I went to State Teachers College at Chadron as Coach and athletic director. The fall of 1916 I went to Hastings as physical director of the YMCA. While there, I joined the Nebraska National Guard. In April 1917, we were

After two years service, I was discharged and returned to Hastings in January, 1919. There I married Edith Fairbanks and moved to Chappell, Nebraska, and coached at the High School at the same time I was in business with a brother-in-law. I became athletic director at Scottsbluff High School in 1922. Two years later I went to Superior and held the same position there. At all these places I did Boy Scout work and played some basketball with town teams.

In 1926, I moved to Lincoln to accept a position with the Texas Oil Co. I bought out an oil company in Seward in 1929 and have been here ever since. In 1940, I sold out and accepted a position in the state Agriculture Department under Governor Dw I have always belonged to the American Legion and served as adjutant and commander of the local post. While living here, my wife and I have been active in the Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star, American Legion and Auxiliary. We bel

We have one son who lives in Los Angeles, Calif. He is in Engineer with the Minneapolis-Honeywell Corp. They have four children - two boys and twin girls. We spend part of every year with them and my wife's relatives in Idaho. We feel we live a full life but don't believe we have accomplished much out of the ordinary. I do not know whether I can attend the anniversary as we may be in California for a family reunion.
