Edward Hartley¹⁰³ was born May 16, 1666 in Marsden, Lancashire, England¹⁰³, and died 1745 in Solebury Twp., Bucks Co., PA. He married Sarah Midgely on Nov 4, 1693 in Heptonshall, Yorkshire, England¹⁰⁴.

Notes for Edward Hartley:
Edward came to America prior to 1700 with his brother Henry. Hisbrothers, James and Anthony also came to America prior to 1700. Unknown if they came on the same ship as Edward and Henry.

Edward was a prominent Quaker Minister.

In 1629 Edward Vipon m. Joanna (Jane) Halstead. Jane Halstead b. 24 Aug. 1603 to William Halstead and registered in Burnley Parish Register. In the will of Jane Vipan 1673, she named her nephew John Halstead. In 1633 Alice Vipon chr. at Burnley (St. Peters) May 10, 1633 d/o Edward and Joanna Halstead Vipon. Alice married Roger Hartley of Chamber in Marsden before 1656. Their son,Edward Hartley Born 16 May 1666 in Little Marsden, Lancashire, Eng. probably married Sarah Midgley, 4 Nov. 1693 in Heptonstall, Yorkshire, Eng. Died Before 14 Jun. 1745 in Solebury Twp., Bucks Co., PA. I know Hepstonstall and Halifax are close. Looking for Halstead connection.
