Newspaper Obituary (Probably Princeton Ledger or Caldwell County Times)

IN MEMORIUM
Died, at his home near Lamasco, Lyon county, Ky, on December 29, 1885, of typhoid pneumonia, Thomas Kearney Kevil.
The deceased was born in Caldwell on September 22, 1855, and was thirty years, three months and one week old at his death. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Kevil of Princeton. He was married in 1882 to Miss Sallie Ingram , daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jas. F. Ingram, of Princeton. The result of this marriage was two children, both of whom survived their father.
Tom Kevil was young man of excellant moral character, generous impulses, kind harted, temperate in his habits, full of energy and perserverance, good business qualifications and gave abundant promise of being a useful and first-class citizen in every respect. He made friends of all with whom he came in contact. If he had an enemy at all, we do not know it. If he had lived, he would have won that which he deserved - success.
His remains were brought to Princton, and on Thursday December 31, at 2 oclock, P. M., Rev. J. L. Edrington of Eddyville, preached his funeral before a large congregation; after which they were laid away in the Town Cemetery to await the reserection morn when, we trust, he, and others now sleeping in that little "City of the Dead" will recieve a crown of everlasting life.
Thirty-one years have come and gone since Mr. and Mrs. Kevil, the father and mother of the deceased, have been called to morn the death of one of their family, and this death must serve as a reminder to them, as well to the surviving brothers and sisters, of what is said in Holy Writ: "Be ye also ready, for ye know not the day nor the hour," etc.
May God in his goodness and mercy comfort them, and especially the heart broken wife of the little ones!
