8. George Frederick Snively was born on 10 Nov 1820 in Betting Hof, Alsace. One account has George Schnaebele born on 7 Oct 1821 He died on 5 May 1886 in Mt Heathy, Bartholmew Co., IN.⁽¹²⁾ One source -type written notes of Paul Schnabele- has George married to Clark followed by several ? marks.

George Frederick (or George Paul?) Snively came to America with his parents when he was about 10 years old (abt 1830).

He was married to Barbara Huber in 1841 in Ashland Co., OH. Barbara Huber ⁽¹³⁾ was born in Feb 1818 in Germany. She died on 17 Jul 1857 in Mt Heathy, Bartholmew Co., IN. George Frederick Snively and Barbara Huber had the following children:

36 ii. John Snively was born on 4 Sep 1845 in Ohio. ⁽¹⁴⁾ He served in the military about 1865 in Civil War, Co. A 93rd Reg Ind vols Infantry; captured at the battle of Brice Crossroads, Mississippi. He died on 10 Feb 1865 in Confederate P.O.W. camp Florence, SC. He is honored with a memorial marker in Mt Heathy, Bartholmew Co., IN. ⁽¹⁵⁾
37 iii. Jacob Snively was born about 1846. He died as an infant.

He was married to Mary Beavers (daughter of John Beavers and Susan Myers) on 6 Mar 1858 in Ashland Co.. Mary Beavers was born about 1830 in Springfield Twp, Columbiana/Mahoning Co OH. ⁽¹⁶⁾ George Frederick Snively and Mary Beavers had the following children:
