6. From the archives of Guy Snively, Loudonville OH. Obituary; Frederick Snively (1814-1898). .
Frederick Snively, second youngest son of Paul Snively and Barbara Weiss, was born on the 14 Oct 1814, at Hunsband, Canton of Suiz, Lower Alsace, Germany.
He came to this country with his parents in 1830 and lived at first in Rome, N.Y., from where he came into this vicinity. In 1839 he was married to Margarette Loewengut. This happy union was blessed with 11 children 4 of whom preceded him in death. Six years ago his beloved wife was taken to the better land, and he was left alone to finish the course of earthly life. He was a successful farmer. In the last years he was not able to work much any more on account of old age, but he was still enjoying good health until last summer when his health and strength began to fail, and within the last few weeks he perceived that his days were numbered. Last Friday he had another spell of exhaustion, from which he could not recover again. He was well aware that his end was drawing near and he was fully prepared to meet his God.
