I am researching the KIRKLAND/KIRKLEN/KIRKLIN family from NC>CAMDEN ,SC>Sequatchie Valley,TN> Chattanooga,TN> Hixson,TN>GA George KIRKLAND 1765-1833 married Elizabeth ?, and also a RACHEL SHUMATE /SHOEMAKE.
The KIRKLAND's are on LYNCHES Creek SC on the "JAMES COOK Map" of SC 1773.
